BOL ON TOUR: UPPER AUSTRIA
"In this current season, we’ll head out in search of our own roots. Not only in the sense of music, but also we’ll spread throughout our country. We are focusing on the term of home and habitat. As an orchestra we are absolutely convinced, that HOME is something welcoming and not rejecting. The Bruckner Orchester Linz is the perfect example: over 120 musicians from more than 20 different countries and origins are playing and performing as a collective every day in one breath. This process feels like creating a piece of home together. We want to carry out the feeling of a community, what home definitely is, and get in touch with the people." Markus Poschner
In the first part of our Upper Austria tour, Markus Poschner will conduct Anton Bruckner’s third symphony in Maria Puchheim and the Reichersberg.
The second part of the tour, which includes Bruckner’s Symphony in D minor as well as a commissioned work. Werner Steinmetz, is a part of the BOL for more than three decades now. He is not only a trumpet player but also a veritable composer. He artistically explores and processes his experiences with the “Genius Loci” to a new piece of work named Secret Signs.
