EDUCATION
We can hardly believe that we have been bringing classical music into schools with MOVE.ON for so many years now. Through the openness to music communication of Chief Conductor Emeritus Dennis Russell Davies, the project was given a perfect start. We are very grateful for his support. Slowly but surely, we have been able to expand our music education programme through new concert formats and school workshops.
Under our new Chief Conductor Markus Poschner, our education programme is breaking out on new musical adventures. With emphasis on projects for young-people and adults, we are opening our rehearsals at the Linzer Music Theatre and in Bruckner House so that as many people as possible have access to view our work behind the scenes. We are particularly proud to introduce the new formats this season: CHEFSACHE (Matter for the Boss) with open rehearsals and discussion with the Chief Conductor; and the KOST-PROBEN (Taste Tests). With these projects we are finally meeting a demand for projects for curious people over fifteen years of age. However this does not negate the existence of concerts and workshops for curious music-enthusiasts of all ages!
